More and more people are getting curious about incorporating IV drips into their wellness routine. Below are the most commonly asked questions our clients have before their first session.

What is IV Nutrient Therapy?
It is a method of administering fluids with nutrients into your bloodstream. It’s a way to heal yourself faster and more efficiently than just taking vitamins and minerals orally. By having these nutrients put in intravenously, it goes straight into your bloodstream by bypassing your digestive system. You’ll start feeling the effects of the IV pretty quickly.
How safe is IV Therapy?
Ally IV and Therapeutics uses FDA approved pharmaceutical facility and pharmacy with all our IV infusions. Each session is administered by a registered nurse after a consultation with Susan, the owner. Prior to your session your medical history, your vitals, and your wellness needs will be discussed and assessed at the consultation.
How often should I get an IV?
We recommend that you come in 1-2 times a month. During your initial consultation we will create a customized protocol for your individual needs.
What does a session look like?
When you arrive for your appointment (which is either at our Newbury Street location or at a location of your choosing), you’ll be assessed by one of our staff. We’ll go over your medical history, check your vitals, and talk about any needs that you may have for getting a treatment. Our registered nurses will set you up in one of our comfortable recliner chairs and sanitize the area and insert the needle into your arm. If you’re nervous about pain from the needle we also offer creams that numb the area. The needle will then be hooked up to the drip line of your IV bag. The treatment itself takes about 45 minutes to an hour. During that time, you can read a book, meditate, listen to a podcast, or listen to music.
Once your treatment is done, the medical professional will remove the needle. You’ll leave the office with some post-treatment instructions and you’re good to go!
